CHANNEL 13 & BOB KOVACHICK VISIT THE GYC
The Greenwich Youth Center (GYC) is proud to celebrate one of its members and junior volunteer Kandice Wilbur for the work she has done in our community. Kandice was nominated by Amelia Gelnett of the Comfort Food for the Channel 13 and St. Peter’s Health Care Hospital 13 Kids Who Care contest. On March 29, 2018 Kandice was interviewed at the Greenwich Youth Center for her work with Comfort Food’s Backpack program and as a Peer Tutor at the GYC. Channel 13’s Bob Kovachick highlighted her work with the youth at the Greenwich Youth Center and interviewed her after the Peer Tutoring program. The Peer Tutoring program is part of the Greenwich Youth Center's investment in Academic Enrichment and offers math help and free tutoring for those in need on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Kandice Wilbur is also part of the GCSD honor society and has spent the last year volunteering her time and working in support of this community. The Greenwich Youth Center is proud to be part of her journey as she continues to grow and leave her mark on our hearts. Kandice is a shining example of the Greenwich Youth Center's mission, to support the youth of the community in a nurturing environment. |
