ABOUT US

In 2001 a sum of money was left for the benefit of the children of the Greenwich CSD by the late Norma Gannon.  Her generosity was to be a "seed" and the Village of Greenwich was charged with its investment and protection. The Citizens Committee for Greenwich Youth (CCGY and formerly referred to as the Gannon Committee) was formed as a non-profit organization to help fully realize Norma Gannon's dream.  The CCGY works collaboratively with the Village of Greenwich, the Town of Greenwich and public and private entities to maximize the impact of these funds.

The funds from the Gannon Fund were "to be used as a memorial to my memory and to the memory of my late husband, James K. Gannon, for the purpose of providing recreational facilities, programs or opportunities for the youth of the community..."
