DAILY LIVING SKILLS
Our Daily Living Skills Program is held at St. Paul's Parish Hall (reflect current calendar). Our members are learning proper hygiene and kitchen safety rules while creating simple healthy meals. Members are encouraged to demonstrate various objectives such as reading ingredients, measuring and time management skills while having fun! The Daily Living Skills Program is essential in developing communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, decision making skills, raising confidence, responsibility and independence for all of our participants as they grow into adulthood.
The Creative Arts Program is the umbrella for all our creative and arts related programs. We offer music, theater and other activities that suit the needs and interests of our members. Participants might learn how to put on a production of their own, while working with local talent.
Members who are in need of academic assistance are supported through our Academic Partners program which begins each September and runs through June.
The GYC partners with the Safe Sitter program that teaches participants what they need to know to become a certified Sitter. The Safe Sitter Program runs throughout the year.
